SIMON PHILLIPS & PROTOCOL V
Simon Phillips is undoubtedly one of the most successful and appreciated drummers in the world. With his unmistakable drum sound, tasteful playing and sensitivity for arrangements, Simon has created a unique style as a sound engineer, producer and drummer. From Toto to Jeff Beck, The Who, Judas Priest to Peter Gabriel, he has demonstrated expertise both live and in the studio. His own project “Protocol” in particular inspires fans of pop, jazz and rock. In 2019, Simon toured extensively as a bandleader and celebrated Protocol's 30th anniversary by playing pieces from each of the previous albums. At this year's TAMA 50th Anniversary Drum Festival, Simon will be seen live on stage with Protocol V.
SIMON GATTRINGER
After just a short time, Simon was one of the most sought-after session drummers in Hamburg. Since then, he has worked successfully as a live and studio drummer for various artists. Simon played live and studio productions with and for Udo Lindenberg, Max Mutzke, Joy Denalane, Max Herre, Freundeskreis, Sacha, Jan Delay, Adel Tawil, Helene Fischer, Johannes Oerding... Apart from that, Simon is also active in the jazz scene. In addition to productions with the NDR big band, he also tours with jazz trumpeter Nils Wülker.
Simon is currently touring with German pop star Johannes Oerding and occupying the drum chair of “The Mighty Winterscheidts” - the band from the TV show “Who steals the show from me”. Simon also works in his studio, gives workshops and clinics. Simon Gattringer was born on 27.05.1986 in Linz/Austria. Simon got his first drum kit at the age of 6, from his uncle, who also made him more and more enthusiastic about music. After autodidact drumming, several years of lessons followed at the Oberösterreichische Landesmusikschulwerk and at the Linz Music School. In 2008, Simon was named the best young drummer in Austria. After studying at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz, he completed the “pop course” at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre. After that, a new chapter in his musical career began.
Anika Nilles
Anika Nilles has earned a firm place on the international stage since 2013. She was just nominated for the German Jazz Prize and drummed for guitar legend Jeff Beck, who died recently, on his last world tour in 2022. With her band “Nevell”, she has already released 3 albums that are there apart from
Made 3rd place in the US Jazz charts. Her music is a melting pot of jazz, funk, rock and pop, her pieces — complex and catchy at the same time.
As a lecturer, she has led the drum department at the Popakademie in Mannheim since 2020. She has been traveling all over the world for master classes, drum camps and clinics for years. With Alfred Music Publishing, she also made her debut as a book author in 2020 and published her first textbook entitled “Pad Book.”
James Stewart
Despite his busy schedule as a touring drummer, James also finds time to record successful albums with bands like Decapitated ( "Cancer Culture", 2022) and Serom ( "Of Golden Verse", 2023).He is known for his technical precision, powerful drumming style, and ability to adapt to a wide range of metal subgenres.His creative input and musical vision have been integral to the success of the projects he has been involved in. With a passion for music that drives him to constantly push the boundaries of his abilities, James is set to remain a prominent figure in the metal music scene for years to come. His dedication to his craft and relentless work ethic have earned him a well-deserved reputation as one of the top drummers in the industry.
SEBASTIAN LANSER
Sebastian Lanser is a drummer, producer and teacher from Salzburg, Austria.
He is known for his collaboration with artists and bands such as Obsidious, Jung/Lanser/Jung, Martin Miller, Bernth, Obscura, Panzerballett and Martin Grubinger. In 2020, Sebastian founded the progressive metal band Obsidious together with Rafael Trujillo and Linus Klausenitzer, which represents his most important musical project to date. Sebastian began playing drums at the age of five, studied drums
(with piano minor) at Anton Bruckner University (AUT) and graduated with distinction.
Since then, he has been in demand internationally due to his versatility. Sebastian is also active in today's drumming community and presents drum clinics, camps, master classes and solo performances.

Simon Phillips gehört zweifelsohne zu den erfolgreichsten und geschätztesten Schlazeugern der Welt. Mit seinem unverwechselbaren Drum-Sound, geschmackvollen Spiel und Feingefühl für Arrangements hat Simon als Sound Engineer, Produzent und Schlagzeuger einen einzigartigen Stil geschaffen. Von Toto über Jeff Beck, The Who, Judas Priest bis hin zu Peter Gabriel hat er eine Expertise sowohl live als auch im Studio unter Beweis gestellt. Besonders sein eigenes Projekt "Protocol" begeistert Fans aus Pop, Jazz und Rock. 2019 tourte Simon ausgiebig als Bandleader und feierte das 30-jährige Jubiläum von Protocol, indem er Stücke aus jedem der vorherigen Alben spielte. Ihre Musik ist ein Schmelztiegel aus Jazz, Funk, Rock und Pop, ihre Stücke – komplex und eingängig zugleich.
Als Dozentin leitet sie seit 2020 das Drum Department an der Popakademie in Mannheim. Für Masterclasses, Drumcamps und Clinics ist sie bereits seit Jahren weltweit Unterwegs. Mit Alfred Music Publishing gab sie 2020 auch ihr Debut als Buchautorin und veröffentlichte ihr erstes Lehrbuch mit dem Titel „Pad Book“.

Sebastian Lanser ist ein Schlagzeuger, Produzent und Lehrer aus Salzburg, Österreich. Er ist bekannt für seine Zusammenarbeit mit Künstlern und Bands wie Obsidious, Jung/Lanser/Jung, Martin Miller, Bernth, Obscura, Panzerballett und Martin Grubinger. Im Jahr 2020 gründete Sebastian zusammen mit Rafael Trujillo und Linus Klausenitzer die Progressive-Metal-Band Obsidious, die sein bisher wichtigstes musikalisches Projekt darstellt. Sebastian begann im Alter von fünf Jahren Schlagzeug zu spielen, studierte Schlagzeug
(mit Nebenfach Klavier) an der Anton Bruckner Universität (AUT) und schloss mit Auszeichnung ab.
Seitdem ist er aufgrund seiner Vielseitigkeit international gefragt. Sebastian ist auch aktiv in der heutigen Schlagzeug-Community tätig und präsentiert Drumclinics, Camps, Masterclasses und Soloperformances.
